“Oh my goodness that was amazing, thank you!
I loved being guided through the body mapping, it felt like a warm wave spreading through my body. I also enjoyed the sensation of releasing stress and loved your wording, it felt just so nourishing”
— EMMA, PREVIOUS REST CIRCLE PARTICIPANT
THIS OFFERING IS FOR YOU IF YOU FEEL:
Physically exhausted from ‘doing all the things’, ticking all the boxes and giving from an already empty cup
Emotionally exhausted from feeling the state of the world deeply, or navigating personal challenges
Mentally exhausted from worrying, looping thoughts, and being ‘stuck in your head’
Disconnected from yourself, your needs and desires
Starved of presence, of just ‘being’, and of the ability to enjoy the moment you are in
A sense that your inner flame is dwindling
AND YOU HAVE:
A desire to slow down, pause, be, and live an unhurried life
A deep longing to nourish and restore your heart, your body and your soul
A longing to come home to yourself and bring the centre of gravity of your life back to you
A yearning to feel radiant again, and to live from overflow rather than from an empty cup
A curiosity about what might open up for you when you move from your mind into your body
The knowing that when you are rested, resourced, and rooted in your own being, new dreams and possibilities arise, and everyone benefits
Over the course of our Unhurried Rest Circles, we will journey together through 7 essences of living an Unhurried life:
Compassionate Presence: honouring the journey that has led us here with compassion, and uncovering the deeper yearning within us to live an unhurried life.
Rest as self-devotion: feeling rest weave itself through our body and embracing rest as a deeply nourishing self-honouring practice in a wake-centric world.
The sacredness of the present moment: savouring the present moment as a sacred, unrepeatable miracle.
Revealing our radiance: releasing the stress, heaviness and burdens our body carries to reveal our organic radiance.
Honouring our inner rhythms: embracing the natural flow and wisdom of our inner rhythms and seasons.
Awakening our wild and free nature: allowing our heart to dwell into new dreams and possibilities.
Embracing a new dawn: embracing a new, rested and unhurried path.
What is a Rest Circle?
A Rest Circle is a safe, unhurried space where we rest together through the practice of yoga nidra.
Yoga nidra is a powerful ancient tradition, which originated in India. It invites us to deeply rest physically, mentally and emotionally by leading us into a profound state of relaxation, beyond the chatter of our mind. It opens up the space for us to come into contact with our subconscious mind.
In yoga nidra, we enter the liminal space between awake and sleep states, a space where we are highly susceptible and can ‘plant seeds’ to support personal yearnings and resolutions.
The unique yoga nidras that we will practise together are rooted in the Daring To Rest lineage and have been specifically crafted for women to return to their bodies, their deepest essence, and to connect with inner resources that will support them to move through life feeling more radiant, resourced and held.
WELCOME TO
UNHURRIED
A 7-week Rest Circle for women to
breathe, rest, be.
“Thank you Isabelle, I felt so much kindness washing over me. Acknowledging what had come with us to the rest circle allowed me to accept what was there, and myself, just as I was.”
– ESTELLA, PREVIOUS REST CIRCLE PARTICIPANT
“You have a lovely presence, Isabelle. Your voice is so soothing and I particularly enjoyed the beautiful invitation to come back to a safe sensation in the body.”
– ANNE, PREVIOUS REST CIRCLE PARTICIPANT
What to expect during a Rest Circle?
A Rest Circle is an invitation to experience the profound and far reaching benefits of deep rest through yoga nidra, alongside other women on the same path.
Most of our time during the Rest Circle, will be spent resting, either lying down or in a comfortable reclined seated position. You will be invited to create a quiet ‘rest nest’ for our circles, to anchor and honour this time as sacred.
Whether you join us from your sofa, your bed, or your yoga mat, what’s most important is that you feel warm and comfortable.
Each 75 minute Rest Circle will include:
A short practice to arrive and ground ourselves in the moment
A brief invitation to check-in
A carefully crafted yoga nidra rest meditation (30-40 minutes)
Space for personal reflection
The Rest Circle is held online through Zoom, so you can rest in the cosy comfort of your own home. When you register for the event, you will receive an email with the Zoom link.
After each Rest Circle, you will receive a link with the recording of our yoga nidra practice, which you will have access to for a whole month after the course is completed. This means that even if you are unable to join some of our Rest Circles, you will be able to practise these beautiful yoga nidras in your own, unhurried time.
What do I need for the Rest Circle?
As we will be lying down for 30-40 minutes, make sure that you have a cosy, private, comfortable ‘rest nest’ to rest in. Use any pillows, cushions, blankets, bolsters, eye pillows or anything else you have at hand to add extra ‘cosyness’ and comfort to your space.
If you have lavender oil at home, you might choose to anoint your wrists with it before each circle.
I invite you to bring a candle with you, which we will light together at the start of our circle. I also recommend that you bring your favourite notebook, as you might choose to write down a few personal reflections towards the end of our Rest Circle.
This is a judgement-free, perfection-free space, so let go of the need for perfection here - and simply trust that your body knows what it needs.

“Thank you so much for this incredibly relaxing practice, Isabelle. Life is busy and I rarely take time for myself. This rest circle has been a revelation and something I will continue to commit to. I’m new to yoga nidra and wasn’t sure what to expect. I particularly loved the feeling of spaciousness I experienced, which is something I haven’t felt in a long time.”

BENEFITS
A word on the benefits of yoga nidra….
Yoga nidra is like a healing balm for the mind, body and soul. Research shows that practising yoga nidra regularly:
Soothes and regulates our nervous system, promoting inner balance and grounding
Relieves physical tension and stress, restoring peace and wellbeing
Supports hormonal balance in women
Promotes emotional wellbeing, and reduces mild depression and anxiety
Brings us into delta brain waves, a state of deep healing and regeneration
Increases mental clarity and ignites creativity
Yoga nidra brings us back home to our body, and the innate wisdom and intuition that lies within each of us.
I’m the Founder of The School Of Somatic Leadership For Women™, a Somatic Coach, Trainer and Educator for women, and a Daring To Rest Facilitator.
Several years ago, after years of striving without ever pausing, my life came crashing down. My mental and emotional health plummeted. My anxiety reached such a level that the smallest hurdle in my day sent me into a downward emotional spiral.
I now know that I experienced a severe burnout.
It very nearly broke me.
Like most challenging experiences, it opened a doorway towards change.
After 20 years in the corporate world, I now specialise in helping women to reconnect with themselves, break the cycles keeping us feeling stressed and burnt out, and to live unhurried and purposeful lives in a fast paced world.
Yoga nidra has been a deeply supportive and transformational practice for me, and I am excited to share its profound effect with you.
